Professional Painting
Harmony Metals has a full service painting department supplying both wet paint and powder coating.
Powder coating is applied as a free flowing dry powder. The primary difference between wet paint and powder coating is that powder coating does not require solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is applied electrostatically and then cured in an oven to allow it to flow and form a “skin”. Parts typically cure in about 20 minutes.
Once cured it produces a high quality coating that has excellent resistance to corrosion, heat, impact, abrasion,UV rays and extreme weather conditions.
Our shop takes great care in the proper preparation of the metal before painting to assure good adhesion and consistent powder flow.
Harmony Metals paint booth measures 30 feet long by 14 feet wide by 8 feet high and our oven measures 21 feet long by 8 feet wide by 8 feet high allowing multiple small parts or large fabrications to be painted.
